Wedding & Commitment Ceremonies
Are you ready to create a sacred union with another? I am licensed to officiate at your special ceremony. Whether you are getting married or having a commitment ceremony, I will work with you to craft a ceremony which speaks your truths, which expresses your unique relationship and the vows you intend to live by.
Pre-marital spiritual counseling is strongly suggested. Many people spend more time planning their wedding party than discussing their marriage goals. Give your union a healthy beginning with spiritual counseling which will explore how you wish to live, what religions or practices are important to you, how you feel about raising children, your feelings about health crises, etc. Learn to negotiate your different beliefs so you can live in harmony. back to top
We will work together to develop a relationship with a God/ Power-Greater-Than-Yourself that feels authentic to you.
If you suffer from religious injury (an angry or hurtful split from one’s religion of childhood, for example), we will work together to heal the wounds, freeing you to create a spiritual life that meets your needs emotionally, intellectually and spiritually.
If you long for a connection to something greater than yourself but truly don’t believe in a god-concept, we will explore how faith can operate independently of religion in your life. back to top
So many people aren’t members of a particular religious institution. When loved ones die, families end up hiring an unknown officiant, recommended by the funeral parlor. While professional, these clergy often lack the skills necessary to properly express your loss in words that resonate with meaning for you in your time of grief.
As an Interfaith Minister, I am well versed in many religious and philosophical traditions and can create a sermon which reflects the deceased’s attitudes and beliefs and will comfort the family and friends. As a skilled listener, I can interview the family/friends and create a service which helps you start the grieving process. If you choose to have a non-religious ceremony, we can create a sermon which will comfort the family and guests. If the deceased was influenced by many religious paths, we will incorporate them into the service to reflect their unique spiritual life. back to top
Addiction/Sobriety & Codependency Coaching
For many people, using drugs, alcohol or food to “take the edge off” of difficult feelings is a normal coping mechanism that they use from time to time. For others, the addiction takes over, leaving them feeling out of control, frightened and desperate. The disease of addiction can destroy your family, your career and your self-esteem.
If you have tried to get and stay sober/abstinent and have not been able to do it on your own, I may be able to help you get free of the addiction cycle and reclaim your life. Spiritual counseling, based on the 12 Step model of Recovery, has worked for me and millions of others.
Working together on a daily basis, much in the way a career coach works with clients, we can uncover the causes, analyze and accept the reality of the situation as it is today, and take actions that will result in change and improvement in your life. Confidentiality guaranteed.
You don’t have to do it on your own. back to top
Meditation is an essential part of most spiritual paths. It enables us to quiet our minds and listen to the voice of the Divine within. For those of us who have multiple defenses operating which prevent deep relaxation, meditation can assist in letting go of the tension and anxiety which impede our deep relaxation.
Working together in partnership, we will collaborate in a process which will teach your body and mind to heal from the negative effects of stress and let in the benefits of meditation. back to top
